The felt seal of the SG03 plain bearing prevents dirt and dust from penetrating into the bearing position and thus protects the shaft and the bearing itself from wear and premature failure.

We have developed the iglidur® SG03 plain bearings for this purpose.​

iglidur® Bearings are generally insensitive to dirt and dust due to their lubrication-free dry operation. This is due to the fact that in most applications the dirt does not remain in the bearing position for long but can trickle through.

However, in applications with very high dirt loads, such as construction machinery or agricultural equipment, this effect is no longer sufficient. Here, permanent relubrication often ensures that the dirt is permanently pushed out of the bearing point.

With the new iglidur® SG03 sealing system, you can dispense with lubrication and still keep dirt and dust safely out of the bearing point. You save money by eliminating lubrication points, complex lubrication grooves and complex tracking systems and benefit from the advantages of iglidur® plain bearing materials.
