iglidur F300 plain bearing with flange

Conductive in the e-coating process

iglidur F300 - Particularly resistant for e-coated assemblies and highly wear-resistant

The new iglidur F300 material was primarily optimised for requirements that occur before the actual application as a plain bearing. Particularly in the production of automobiles, but also for other vehicles or furniture, already partially assembled assemblies are provided with a cathodic dip painting (e-coating) . In this process, the assembly is placed under electrical voltage, immersed in aqueous paint and then dried at high temperatures.

This process places special demands on the stability of the material and only works if it is sufficiently electrically conductive. iglidur F300 offers very good conductivity for plastics. It is also mechanically and thermally stable.

Optimised for cathodic dip painting applications

We developed iglidur F300 for this purpose

The cathodic dip painting process places special demands on plain bearing materials. They must be conductive, since the paint can only adhere to those areas that are under electrical voltage. But on the other hand, high temperatures are generated during drying, which can impair the mechanical stability of many plastics.

Optimised specifically for these requirements, the new plain bearing material iglidur F300 is ideal for applications in which pre-assembled components with pressed-in plain bearings are dip coated. These include applications in automobiles and commercial vehicles, but also in furniture or bicycles.
