If a 100 % dry-running and maintenance-free solution is to be realised, the shaft should have good corrosion protection. This can be achieved using the nitrocarburising process, for example. Metallic rolled bearings were tested on one side of the front loader. Here, "seizure" occurred in the course of the test. In addition to high wear, this resulted in the shaft losing its corrosion protection in the contact area. Various iglidur® materials were tested on the left side. The best result was delivered by iglidur® Z. But the low-cost all-rounder iglidur® G also found a good mating partner with the shaft used.
