The high-end data cables with TPE jacket are available from now on as unshielded (CF298) and shielded (CF299) versions with double the service life (up to 40 million guaranteed double strokes).
Dynamic applications with very small bend radii can quickly allow the copper cores of conventional cables to meet their mechanical stress limits. It is precisely for such scenarios that igus now guarantees 40 million double strokes on its CF298 (unshielded) and CF299 (shielded) data cable series with the smallest bending factor (4xd) for moving data cables in e-chains. This is made possible mainly by the combination of the new high-performance alloy conductor material and the highly flexible igus TPE outer jacket, which prevents cracks and breaks.
Providing a guarantee to the end customer exceeds obligatory warranty claims or defect liability by far. The chainflex customers not only receive the promise to purchase a defect-free product, but also reliable functionality over a long period. Durability guarantee is what matters.
In current tests with the latest generation of chainflex data cables in the chainflex test laboratory a service life of over 54 million double strokes has been achieved:
